Hi, I'm Sharon McCann.
I am a Master Practitioner of Clinical Counselling (MPCC) with the Canadian Professional Counsellors Association (CPCA). For more information about the CPCA, click here. I am also a Registered Clinical Counselling Hypnotherapist with the Association of Registered Clinical Hypnotherapists (ARCH). I provide therapeutic services to individuals 19 yrs and older. I began my counselling practice in 2009, locally serving the Comox Valley and Campbell River, British Columbia. I have maintained a private practice since then, and also provided counselling for the Immigrant Welcome Centre and Comox Valley Head Injury Society. I worked as a Registered Rehabilitation Professional helping injured or disabled workers find employment. What inspires me to do this work is the joy that results when people turn problems into challenges and transform their lives. I am heart-centered, straight-forward, and possess an abundance of common sense. I listen well and use my skills in empathy to perceive the underlying issues that cause distress. Perhaps my most endearing quality is a sense of humour that offers perspective in the most difficult of times. As an MPCC of the CPCA, my services may be covered by insurers, including: Aspiria, ComPsych, Empire Life, Homewood Health, Lifeworks, Manulife, Optima Global Health, Pacific Blue Cross, Pacific Life, and Sunlife. |

The first step is to contact me for a free phone consult. In-person sessions are available. My office is located in Black Creek, North Vancouver Island, British Columbia, locally serving residents of the Comox Valley, Campbell River and North Island. Remotely I serve clients in Canada.
